Our Story

Both graduates of Wake Forest University’s Babcock Graduate School of Management, owners Randy and Adelia Gram, are two folks who had worked in diverse corporate careers and found themselves wanting something different. The traditional, linear career path they once found themselves on quickly transformed into the common ground of their farm within the city limits of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The simplicity of what they called “the thirty minute vacation” of traveling across town to escape to their farm, soon became actual plans to map out a working vineyard on what was once pastureland that turned out to be ideally situated for a vineyard with its perfect slope and sun exposure.

Today, Randy and Adelia still happily eschew the corporate world in favor of their dedication to viticulture and oeneology and are pleased to continue the legacy of four generations of family businesses. They share a mutual love of the land in this region and the terroir of the Yadkin Valley. They feel indeed privileged to be stewards of this 16-acre urban farm which produces such honest joy that comes from their fruit that is transformed into the art of wine. Our Story Photo for Vineyard Website Randy and Adelia
